Curlew Cottage, 20 Uppergate Street, Conwy, LL32 8RF
The cottage is situated on a main road. It is part of a row of terraced cottages. The road has a fairly steep incline with double yellow lines outside the property. Luggage could be off-loaded only outside the property. There is a pavement outside the cottage approx 5cm high. We do not have a parking space, there is however, on-street parking nearby (approx 100yrds) this is on a first come first served basis. Conwy itself, does have plentiful car parks both long and short stay. These are pay and display, the nearest is approx 300yrds.
Public transport to Conwy is excellent and recommended. Train & Arriva bus stop approx 150yrds away. The railway is on an intercity line - Holyhead to London (Euston). National Express bus company also serves Conwy. There is a taxi rank from Lancaster Square approx 150yrds away.
The front door to the property has one step approx 14cm high, this doorway measures 84cm wide. The ground floor has a level tiled floor throughout.
The traditional stairs are fairly steep with a turn in them at the top. There are 2 hand rails, one on either side of the stairs. Stairs and bedrooms are covered with a short pile carpet throughout. We have a stair gate available for families with children. Both bedrooms and the bathroom (with loo) are situated on the first floor. The main bedroom has a standard double bed (sleeps 2), and the second bedroom has an adult sized bunk bed (sleeps 2). The bedroom doorways measure approx 72cm wide, and the bathroom doorway measures approx 66cm wide. The bathroom has a deep, 1400mm bath with shower over it. There are non-feather pillows on all the beds, together with quality poly-cotton bedding. Outside the property there is a small courtyard, accessed via the kitchen. There are double patio doors leading out measuring approx 83cm wide. There is a step over the door frame approx 7cm high. Once on the Courtyard there is a step up onto the main paved area of approx 14cm. There is a table, chairs and BBQ out here. The courtyard is completely enclosed.
There is easy access from the cottage to all the facilities that Conwy has to offer; shops, cafes, quayside all reached within a 5 minute walk (up hill incline on the way back).
